Transfer Vinyl Lettering Ordering Guide
Transfer Vinyl Lettering
To make the ordering process as easy as possible, we have provided a step by step guide:
Step 1: select a lettering height. The lettering height referes to the height of the tallest characters within your input text. This height will also determine the width of your lettering, as the transfer vinyl lettering will be scaled using the height set; the bigger the lettering height, the longer the lettering width will be. Should you have a specific/exact sizing requirement, you can tell us this at Step 5 and we will endeavour scale the lettering width as requested.
Step 2: select how many transfer vinyl lettering stickers you want to order using the selected lettering height. This is the quantity of individual transfer vinyl lettering stickers. There is a second quantity option, we recommend that this is kept to 1 - you should use the provided multiples from the first quanity section to increase the quantity you require, these have vast discounts applied, which scale upwards with the more you order.
Step 3: select what colour vinyl you would like to use for your transfer vinyl lettering. The options are black, white, red or blue vinyl.
Step 4: select the font you would like to use for your transfer vinyl lettering. The options are displayed with corresponding numbers in the images. Please select the font number from the drop-down list provided. We can provide you with a couple of font options at the proofing stage, if requested during the process or you can request this in the additional details section in Step 8.
Step 5: type the lettering you require in the text box provided (there will be two text boxes if you have chosen the double line transfer vinyl lettering product). Please take extra care here, we will prepare your vinyl using this exact text. You can select up to 14 characters, per line. Please type your lettering as you want it to appear; if you want all the lettering to appear in CAPS use capital letters, or all in lowercase lettering if no caps are required. Or, alternatively, use any mixture of cases, as appropriate to your needs. This is completely your preference. You may also type numbers and potentially special characters here (we will advise if there are any issues with special characters in the proofing stage, but we will endeavour to make these work for you).
Step 6: only applies to the double line transfer vinyl lettering product - select a lettering alignment to use. This determines how the two lines of lettering are aligned; i.e. centre aligned, left or right aligned or justified. The most common preferences here are centre and left-aligned. With centre aligned, the middle of each of the two lines will sit at the centre of the overall width of the lettering. With left-aligned, each of the two lines will start at the same point using the first letter of each line. With right-aligned, each of the two lines will finish at the same point using the last letter of each line. With justified, the individual characters of the two lines will be equally spaced out to make the width of each line identical - this works best when the two lines are of a similar width to begin with.
Step 7: if desired, you can provide an exact size for the width of the lettering to use - this is optional. Please provide these measurements in millimetres (mm). Leave blank if you're happy for the width of your lettering to be sized in scale with your selected lettering height; we will let you know what this size will be during the proofing process, when you can always suggest an alternative, if required.
Step 8: You may also let us know any additional details - this is optional. Please only provide any additional details that you think will assist when preparing your transfer vinyl lettering stickers in the proofing process.
